There are many monuments and museums to visit and the nightlife is so amazing!

Last year I went in Denmark for two months with my English school, for a language course.

I’ve lived in a little house with some friends and guys who came for the same course; that was a really funny and beautiful experience, because we were all together and we have fun all day long… I’m not so sure I’ve learned so much in of my programme!!
I knew a girl, Luise, who lives there and we became great friends, we have so many things in common!

So this year she would like to come and visit us, in Florence, but she called me and told that she can come only in a few days, for a week, because of her job…so now I’ve to find somebody who rent apartments in Florence, because I live in a very small house and I can’t accommodate her!

Searching ad re-searching finally I’ve found the Antica sosta dei Viandanti, a sort of hotel that offers on line and last minute booking for apartments in Florence. The solutions offered it’s a variety of apartments all well decorated and modern, and it is quite a cheap accommodation in Florence, if you consider all the services…
You can choose the dimension in base of the number of people who are going to stay, and you can find a good accommodation also if you search for it in the very last minute!!

Jacuzzi, large spaces, kitchen, living room and bedroom, I think that’s not a bad solution at the end!!!

In this period of the year Rome is fantastic, it’s worth to go there for a trip. There are so many monuments and museums to visit and the nightlife is so amazing! The atmosphere is so magic with the streets
decorated for the Christmas time.

Some of my friends have suggested me a very good resturant, in Eur quarter,  called “La Montagnola” where the tradition’s genuineness married the innovation.

The EUR is a southern quarter of Rome famous for its palaces in Rationalist style. Many important Italian movies directors have chosen it as location for their films, like Federico Fellini, Dario Argento and  Michelangelo Antonioni  to quote just some of them.

In a frendly location, the Montagnola restaurant, proposes traditional Italian dishes and the pizzas cooked in their wood oven.

A journey in Lombardy can be a very interesting itinerary in order to discover the tradition and the history of this beautiful territory.

Visiting Florence is something special, the landscape is gorgeous, the city is surrounded by hills and vineyards, streets and buildings are ancient  but the atmosphere is so lively!
If you are going to visit Florence and you want to stay there for some days, I think you should rent an apartment, maybe in the city center.

Renting a flat you can save a lot of money, both thanks to the cost per night (it is obviously cheaper than a hotel’s room) and the chance to cook (and not going out in a restaurant).

If you want to rent an apartment take a look to the Antica Sosta dei Viandanti’s website: they have seven flats, all two-roomed (for 3 to 4 people), in the centre of Florence ( just 300 m from the Cathedral and 800 m from the station).

Italians love the orient cuisine for its particular and exotic flavor. There are many resturants in Italy where we can taste excellent eastern food.  I prefer the thai food, that is really appreciated  in Italy. It’s very light and it’s based on the opposite tastes, like sweet-salty for example.

I found a fantastic thai and chinese restaurant in Rome, in Villa Fiorelli square called “Chekiang” where the food is very good and the service swift and kind. In this restaurant it’s possible to taste thai and chinese specialties cooked with the best ingredients in a eastern atmosphere.

Have you ever tasted the “coda alla vaccinara”? Well, you have to.
I love that genuine flavors of the typical Roman cooking, as “bucatini all’amatriciana” or “pasta alla carbonara”: these recipes have a centuries-old tradition and are absolutely unique.

If I were a Roman I would get fat in one month, ’cause I really like these dishes!

If you want to taste Roman cuisine you have a choice of many typical restaurants, but you have to pay attention not to go in a tourist one.

I can advice a trattoria where I eaten, that satisfied me very much: Ponte Vittorio Restaurant.
The Ponte Vittorio restaurant is situated in the historical centre of Rome, near Castel Sant’Angelo, Saint Peter’s and Piazza Navona.
So, if you are visiting Rome you can have pizza or spaghetti, at lunch or dinner in this welcoming restaurant.
